Dear Pita,
It's been quite a while since anything has been written here. I know I see you every weekend, but even so, it's nice to hear stories that happen to you during the week since you becomes quite a recluse when attached to that beloved Skype. Not saying it's a bad thing, since you're talking to people you kind of know and not the random people on DeviantArt who kicked you out of their stupid thread...Ah, (deep breath) anyways...Oh yes, if anyone understand the title, then you are amazing (even Pita, even though she should already know).
My goodness, this year is going by so fast. I've had to fill out college applications and do my senior show and a progressive research project -_- I'm pooped...Does anyone use that phrase anymore? It's a mystery...I like old sayings, rather old lingo. It's so much fun to say. I remember a song my grandmother used to confuse me with whenever we made banana pudding. Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy. Except when you say it fast it's more like Marsidotes an dosidotes an little lamzidivee...I would always make her say it slower several times just so I could try and remember. She's a tricky grandma, I love her to death XD. One time she tricked my into smelling ammonia...TWICE, within a five minute period actually. It was really funny.
I miss her...due to my senior obligations, I can't visit her during Thanksgiving, but my dear mother said that we might go during Christmas, which sounds just as fun! But even so...it's a sad thing to have to work over the holidays, just like my friend Chi. Since New Moon came out he has to work pretty much 24/7 selling rabid fangirls movie tickets. Poor boy...
I must say, Pita, I know I shouldn't feel this way, but in some way I think parting with certain people have actually made my life easier, or less stressful. I think they expected too much of me, or wanted me to be different, and you know that I am who I am...whether or not that's a good thing. I mean, you're lovable just the way you are, even if sometimes you get out of hand...and when you smack me for being stupid ^^;...But anyway, I know that things can only get better from here.
My my, I talk about myself too much, I apologize deeply. I don't check your channel much on the YouTubes, but I hope things are going fine. I'll have to take pictures on my senior trip and share them with you, as you had shown me videos and fun things. I truly appreciate your big sister moments, even though I suppose I am the more mature one of the two of us at times. Just the other day you said I never reply back on Blogger, and I guess my only reason is this: The one thing I've learned from the past couple of years is that technology can separate the human connection between people, so I just wait until you get home to talk ^w^ I hope you don't mind. I'll make you some coronets once I find a better recipe, one that actually ends up like the ones in Lucky Star. We should make sailor suits!!!
You're so cute, Pita-nee ^w^ (I'm too lazy to do super shading though T_T ) Have a good holiday!!
Love,
Monchan

One Take Wonders
Dearest Mon,
As you may or may not know, college can be a swift kick in the can sometimes. The biggest pickle I've found myself in at the moment is the fact that both my art and math homework assignments clash on the same night. Both require my utmost attention because art is something I'm highly devoted to and math...well, I've been at war with math since my junior year of high school.
God help me.
But the solution I've found for this, abet it's a melancholy solution, is to drop the math class at the moment. I only need to have two semesters of math for my degree, and I can handle not having to attend a math class for a year longer. I doubt it's offered during summer semesters, but I can always look into it.
Anyway, today's topic that's not school related is one take wonders. Now, Mon, I'm sure you've seen a one take wonder before--for example, the OK Go music video to "Here it Goes Again" is a prime example of what a one take wonder is. Unfortunately, embedding has been disabled for that video, so I can only provide you with a link instead.
I swear, these are some of the snappiest dressers. I'd totally wear those outfits, no joke.
The gist of it is that a video is filmed in sync with it's musical content and has no edits. The best ones seem to have millions of views on Youtube and what have you. My personal favorites happen to be the Daft Hands and a lip dub for Flagpole Sitta.
Daft Hands. We've all written on our hands before. I remember when we were younger one of the jokes on the playground was Bob. Bob was that stick figure who resided on the palm of your hand, could do push-ups, and would become an inky smear on your other hand whenever you applauded for his athletic feats. However, this person thought it'd be a cool to synch what was written on his hands with a Daft Punk song we both know and love to bits.

Lip Dub of Flagpole Sitta. Thank God these people had so much time on their hands after work.
Until we meet again,
Pita.

PS- Of course I couldn't forget that today's the eighth anniversary of 9/11. Let's pay our respects by offering a moment of silence.

Talk
Dear Pita,
Yeah, it's been quite a while since I actually wrote in this thing ^^; but hopefully I can get into a habit since my silly sister doesn't bring her phone everywhere with her... >.> PITA...(poke) I don't have much room to say anything because mine has been collecting dust until recently XD...poor phone.
But anyways, today has been kind of a sad day, but maybe I should start with some positivity!!! ^^ Yes yes, erm, I guess I'll start with Mechacon and move forward in SUPER FAST MOTION! Isn't this exciting?
Mechacon...hmm, I cosplayed but only a couple times as Ritsu from Fruit Basket and Yuki Nagato from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, hopefully you know what those are ^^; if not then I do apologize for the otaku-esque blogs. And I made some new friends, Kris, Jack, and Chih ^^ They are all very nice people and hopefully I see them next year.
Ah!! We need a nitro boost...ummm my schedule fro senior year is pretty cool, got a bunch of electives, and Stagecraft is going to be a blast of aggressive (my teacher) with a side of fun (everything else). ^^ And I am taking piano!! Fun stuff right cha.
But yeah, things have been going alright, well...until a few hours ago...a couple of my friends have been fighting, well, not fighting more like one-sided disagreement, and I don't think I can take it. My soul hurts just having to read all the text messages they send me...Maybe things will work out though, I can only hope for the best and expect the worst...
Ah yes, and a random last note, I am making a nendoroid for my art class. Like an actual resin cast figurine of...myself XD because I'm so conceited...heehee I'll take pictures of it's progress, hopefully.
That's about all for now, and maybe something really exciting will happen. I hope Pita gets to read this and will write back to me. Oh and here's a random cat girl for you that I drew even though you've already seen it on DeviantArt. I shall draw pictures for this blog eventually.
Love,
Monchan

"Storming the castle," so to speak
My beloved Mon,
As you might have guessed by this entry, I decided it was high time to begin this grand ol' blog adventure the day before I start school. It's funny how I'm trying to write a lengthy blog on the day before I start school, but the truth of the matter is that I have nothing else to do at the moment. Books were rented, I got the Internet cable and printer installed for my computer, I spent three dollars on a slice of pizza that had an amazingly fluffy and thick crust, and the roomate hasn't been a bother. On the contrary, she's been very courteous to me.
The Roomate (yes, this will be her official name in the blog) and I met Sunday night/ Monday morning, and we spent a good couple of hours just talking and laughing and what have you. Slept from 2:00 to 6:00, and I must say that I'm grateful that I went to bed earlier last night; I feel much better today than I did yesterday. But I'm babbling. The Roomate is studying nursing (or communications, I forget at the moment), she's an enthusiastic thespian, she's Roman Catholic, and she keeps a large amount of hair products in the bathroom. Like, more than our beloved Red. The only downfall to sharing a room with The Roomate is that The Roomate doesn't spend much time in said room that we share. As a matter of fact, she only came back last night to grab her tub of consumables to divvy amongst the mass of friends she brought with her last night. I think there were six of them. They were loud.
Now, I think I may need to talk to The Roomate about how it is that I function. Spending most of your life sharing a room with me has made you an expert on the oddities of Pita, but The Roomate has yet to learn that I do not like stayng up late. This past summer can be ignored because it was summer, but school begins tomorrow, and if anything, I'd like to try to get back into the routine of waking up about an hour or two before classes begin. Sleeping with a light on doesn't bother me. Using the laptop late at night doesn't bother me. Gathering friends into the room to chatter, take the food, and run late at night bothers me. Sighing, I believe the only conclusion I can come to is just talking it out. The Roomate has to understand; she can have guests over, but keep them quiet if I'm trying to sleep.
Nevertheless, classes! They start tomorrow, so hurray. Mind you that Mum was right when she said that college was going to be different than high school. I have different classes on Mondays and Wednesdays than I do on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Allow me to kiss the ground for having only a morning class on Fridays. The campus is indeed a lovely place to walk around, and the music hall is one of the many great places to film. If I was going to do a video project, it would definitely have to be done on this campus.
But now to explain my title. It's been a while since I started making videos for Youtube (none of which would really interest the public much), but I finished one yesterday that had to do with storming Cinderella's castle once upon a late April. That can be viewed below this paragraph.
Until later,
Pita

Joker and the Thief
Dear Pita,
This is quite fun naming journals after songs. But I promise that the title is relevant. I know that it has been quite a while since I last posted anything, but a friend of mine told me some people can stalk you through blogging sites...and also I guess this is more of just writing and not blogging.
Anywho, since I'm not very interesting as compared to my wild and crazy sister (ilu Pita ^_^; ) I think I might just post my cosplays for a convention I'm going to. Oh yeah! And I shall be a senior next year...
Oh, but before I move on to other such strange subjects I might want to explain my title of choice. I was playing Rock Band today and my brother and I decided to go for a really hard song...Pinball Wizard. and after the AMAZING Who finished their loverly song, I was suddenly inspired to play an equally but slightly harder song, Joker and the Theif (please listen to it, it's SO COOL) by Wolfmother. I tried, failed...My brother tried, failed even faster...and then he stompedx upstairs, leaving me alone with my crazy imagination. I found myself in a "Yuki Nagato" state-of-mind (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya...yes it's anime, I'm a nerd). I stood slowly from the couch, adjusting the strap so as the guitar would rest just about where you would play a bass (pretty low, that is). I put on a straight face and stared intently at the T.V. It was pretty dramatic...and then, I hit Replay.
Yuki
And so it was, I passed the song with 83% on Expert! YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! But then I tried again and failed during the Chorus, but I still won!! Once, but once is good enough for me. Ooh yes, and to make me more of a nerd, I had a Star Wars marathon with one of my friends. But of course I can't go home at 3 in the morning, so we watched the first three (chronologically, not made) and we'll watch the next three some other time...just so you know, that's 13 1/2 hours of awesome. Maybe that's not nerdy though, maybe I'm actually pretty normal...
But anyways, cosplay cosplay cosplay, hmm...I took a sewing class so that I could make cosplays instead of spending about $300 just buying them (even if I'm lazy >3<). Well, hmm...no, I'll just keep it a surprise, even though my sister knows some of them. But I can tell you one thing, Shin Megami Tensei is a BEAST. They're games are just so much fun, the character designs, the music (sigh)...I'm in love. (ahem) So, in short, I'm going to be several of their characters or just as many as I can be, within a budget xD.
Aegis from Persona 3
Meow, but summer is fun so far...Hopefully I'll have a great senior year as well, wish me luck!
Love,

Getting down with the sickness
So I've finally graduated from high school.
My first act of a now graduate was to pick up my scripts for the summer's productions of Willy Wonka and Sleeping Beauty. Sadly I won't be able to participate in practicing for a while. You see...I be sick. My throat's fakked up beyond all reason, and I don't know why. It's not like I smoke or inhale glue; I just can't seem to communicate verbally right now. Because of this, there's a chance I might not be able to practice any songs.
When I do, I sound like a pubescent boy.
It's like a simulated version of male puberty. I think I can now tip my hat to the boys going through this kind of change.
So while Mum's away teaching school and Mon is away learning in school, I'm at home with fellow graduate/ college student/ awesome big brother Red.
Every two hours, I'm supposed to "take medicine," which doesn't necessarily mean swallowing oral solutions or pills. My nurse for the day is a spray for sore throats. For the love of God and all that is holy, do not spray directly down your throat. You just might barf up a lung.
I've also been collecting patterns for papercrafts. Maybe when I get around to making some more, I'll show you guys. Yea, I'm bored.
~Pitafish
PS- This blog's become quite image happy, has it? Not that I'm complaining, but y'know. As far as the title of this entry is concerned...I like the song.

In which introductions have been arranged
It appears the "Mon" part of our blog as already introduced herself, so it's my time to make an appearance as well. The name's Pitafish; I'm the "Pita" part of the username up there.
Actually, when I first heard of the combination of "Pitamon," I began to feel nostalgic, reminiscing about a time when children's anime was freshly new in the States and wasn't bastardized by 4Kids. Well, Digimon wasn't liscenced by that company, but other animes weren't as fortunate. And that, young ones, is a blog for another time.
Though I do imagine what a "Pitamon" would have looked like...
Egads, I've created a Fighting Foodon by mistake. An Internet to those who know what the heck those are.
What else needs to be said? Well, aside from the fact I type a bit more eloquently than my counterpart and use emoticons less frequently, I do tend to write wordy sentences. I mean, very wordy sentences. The kind you would find in, like, Shakespeare. Or Conrad. I'm also a fan of the music genre I like to call "potpourri." Potpourri music has no significant style to it or artist. It basically lives by the rules of you liking the song, regardless of who's performing it. For example, I liked Korn's cover of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws," but that's all I really like from them. I love Splashdown, but some the songs just don't click for me. Mon mentioned she was an otaku, and so am I. To put all Internet labels out there, I'm a Nerdfighter, a Risembool Ranger, an anthro (as well as people) artist, a thespian, an aspirin voice actor, and a writer. Note the lengthy blog post, why don't 'cha.
I also crossplay more often than cosplay, which isn't very often. For those who are clueless to what it was I just said, here's a brief explanation: Cosplay is costume roleplaying; the term's mostly used to describe those who dress and act as anime or video game characters. Crossplay is cosplaying, but as a character of the opposite sex. I guarantee you there are probably more female crossplayers than male. It's not that we have male envy--I just like the boy characters more. I only dress up for the occasion, which does not include every time I go to the friggin' mall...weeaboos. Sure, I crossplayed for a party once, but it was only because the birthday girl requested that I do. So I did.
I'm also trying to compose an original story: wish me luck on that. I might even post snippets, or at least the parts that aren't so confusing...
For all those who came by this blog on a whim, curiosity, or because you got lost, I thank you with this rather awesome video:
Ta-ta for now!

PS-I know I make long titles. That's how I sum up the entries.

First Batch of Events
Dear Pita,
Ah, don't you love really lame puns? ^_^
Anyways, hello There!!
After reading many blog entries from my very good friends at Neurotic Octopus, I thought to myself that I should start one. It looks like oh so very much fun, but I must warn you all that I am an excessive user of emoticons ^_^;. Hopefully you catch on to them. I suppose this blog will be mostly about art, music, and pretty much the strange things that go on in my life as well as nifty recipes that I find. I have been told that I am pretty good baking, but you'll just have to see for yourself...
Oh!! Silly me, I should introduce myself. My name, well...that's not quite important, but I go by Monchan on the interwebs. Not much of a story behind it. I like Hello Kitty A LOT (I am quite the nerd, you will see) and there's a character called Chi Chai Monchan. I love monkeys, and I am one, in the Chinese zodiac of course (told you I was a nerd) and I decided to make it a moniker of mine. I hope Sanrio doesn't sue me XD.
Also, my sister has requested that she can post sometimes in this blog as well, so I guess it will be sort of a way for us to keep in touch whilst she is off being amazing in college. I have yet another year to endure before I go off into the "real world". Such a phrase reminds me of this kind of old song called "No Such Things" by John Mayer. I truly think music is my third language. I am addicted to musicals, especially Hello Dolly. It's my favey! Put on your sunday clothes when you feel down and out. Go down the street and have your picture took... (sigh) Tis wonderful, if you haven't seen it, you must.
Anyways, this is just a starter, so I guess I shall bid you adieu until later.Have a good day!
(I'm not that cute, but who knows XD)
Love,
Monchan
Ah, don't you love really lame puns? ^_^
Anyways, hello There!!
After reading many blog entries from my very good friends at Neurotic Octopus, I thought to myself that I should start one. It looks like oh so very much fun, but I must warn you all that I am an excessive user of emoticons ^_^;. Hopefully you catch on to them. I suppose this blog will be mostly about art, music, and pretty much the strange things that go on in my life as well as nifty recipes that I find. I have been told that I am pretty good baking, but you'll just have to see for yourself...
